Shop Skill — your personal shopper

Why did we build this?
Millions of people are upgrading their personal lives with agents like Hermes and Openclaw. But when they try to shop for you, they get stuck. Login walls. Bot blocking. No shipping details. No secure way to pay. No tracking. No returns help.
We wanted to fix that by bringing the things hundreds of millions of buyers love about Shop to personal agents.
Tell your agent "Install https://shop.app/SKILL.md" and it can:
- Search Shopify's Catalog to find you the perfect product (personalization coming soon)
- Visualize those products on you, or in your space
- Sign in to Shop to accelerate checkout, with you approving payment each time
- Pay for you securely if you set up a budget for it to spend on your behalf
- Get tracking updates, reorder, start returns, or fetch past order info
What powers it?
Powering this are Shopify's breakthrough agent-first commerce primitives. Search runs on Shopify's Global Catalog MCP, so it supports things like image search and rich filters across the globe's best selection of brands.
Your Shop identity lets you sign in and grant your agent access to your information, securely. And because Shop can track any package when you hook it up to your email (yes, including Amazon), you can get tracking info across all your shopping.
What I love about it
I've found a real sense of power and freedom putting it to work with Max, my personal agent. Here are a few of them:
1. Virtual try-on
Using Catalog search and image editing, the Skill found and visualized this T-shirt for me. The render was spot-on.
2. Auto gifting calendar
Hooked up to my Google Calendar, Max has a weekly job to scan for upcoming birthdays across my extended family — DMing me a reminder with buyable gift suggestions. Because Shop has the best brands, and I've dropped a voice note with my family members' preferences, the finds have been spot-on — no more last-minute gift-panic.
3. Loopy optimization
I can be a bit obsessive about finding the best deal (yes, I'd happily compare the £/g cost of cheese). But between raising young kids and Shopify I don't have much time to indulge this habit. Instead, I drop a voice note to Max through Telegram and he combs through Shop's enormous catalog for the best-value product (often beating Amazon!).
4. Paying for me
Not everyone will trust their agents to do this yet, but for me the real magic has been letting Max actually pay for me. Granting Max a budget and letting him complete a checkout feels like a paradigm shift — making Max feel, for the first time, like the real personal family assistant I've always envisaged him to be.
